Western Red Cedar

Western Red Cedar offers natural beauty and durability. Our STK-grade boards allow tight knots with minimal defects, and No Hole posts provide a clean look. Perfect for exterior use or adding character indoors.

Boards

Cedar boards are primarily stocked in a smooth one side and two edges (S1S2E) finish, available in nominal widths ranging from 1x4 to 1x12. This provides customers the flexibility to choose between a smooth or rough sawn appearance to suit their project needs. In addition, we offer 2x4 and 2x6 boards with a smooth four sides (S4S) finish, ideal for applications such as decking, railing, and various structural or aesthetic uses. For those seeking a more rustic look, rough sawn cedar in 2x thickness is available by special order in nominal widths from 4 inches to 12 inches.

Siding

Our Select Tight Knot (STK) grade Western Red Cedar sidings are offered in a variety of patterns, including tongue and groove, bevel lap, and channel rustic. Each pattern is manufactured with a smooth one side and two edges (S1S2E) finish, providing the option of either a smooth or rough sawn appearance to accommodate different design preferences. Additionally, we stock #2 Perfection grade cedar shingles, suitable for both siding and roofing applications.

Posts

We stock rough sawn cedar posts in nominal sizes of 4x4 and 6x6, with additional rough sawn timber sizes—such as 8x8 and 4x6—available by special order.

Woodtone’s Absolute Hollow Cedar Posts are available in nominal sizes of 6x6 and 8x8, offered in both smooth and rough sawn textures. These posts are stocked in 10-foot and 12-foot lengths, which are exclusive to the Absolute Hollow product line. View more here:
